The roadmap I wish I had when I started.

Solo-built. Honest about what it is. Honest about what it isn't. If you're self-teaching to build full-stack AI apps, this is the path I'd take today.

Why this exists

I'm a self-taught engineer. I spent years sifting through YouTube playlists, half-finished bootcamp materials, and "ultimate roadmap" blog posts where every other link was dead and the "complete" path conveniently ended right before the part where you'd have to actually ship. The hardest part wasn't learning — it was knowing what to learn next without paying a $15,000 bootcamp tax for someone to wave their hands at a Slack channel.

So I built the thing I wanted. 424 curated topics across 18 stages, from "set up your machine" to "ship a production AI app." Every topic earned its place. No filler. No "watch this 17-hour course." Just the path.

Bootcamps are linear and expensive. YouTube is unstructured and full of dead ends. This is the middle path: curated like a course, paced like self-study, with a tutor that holds you accountable.

The tutor that won't write your code

The AI Teacher is powered by Claude Sonnet 4.6. It's deliberately restricted from autocompleting your homework. It walks you through the concept, asks you questions back, and pushes you to write the code yourself. Each lesson runs a 5-step loop: Objectives → Lecture → Worked example → Practice → Graded quiz.

You won't graduate this roadmap by pasting AI-generated code. You'll graduate by understanding what to type next, even when the AI is offline.

What's coming

Recent work is on the changelog. Roughly: deeper analytics for cohort retention, project-grading templates, mobile-first polish, and (eventually) a community layer for accountability buddies. Always shipped one push at a time.
